JUNGLE JUICE

Named after a famous cocktail based on hallucinogenic mushrooms, was founded in 1994 in Luxembourg by musicians of the cover band "Why Not" with the aim to compose their own music.

With their name the band wanted to underline the hypnotic effect as well as the spiritual dimension of their music.

Always looking for fresh and innovative sound structures, Jungle Juice's style was soon described as "alternative rock with spherical influences".

After several remarkable performances (FDLM Nancy, Rock um Knuedler...) the first album "Antwørd" was released in 1997.

In the course of time there were several line-up changes. Guitarist David Laborier left the band to study at the renowned "Berklee College of Music" in the USA. In 1998 Nico Broers, synthesist, and Lyne Kuffer, singer left the band. Singer and guitarist Ivo Reisch also left Jungle Juice to concentrate on his solo career in Australia. The band regrouped in 1999 with Nathalie Peters as lead singer, and a new face, Mil Garafalo on guitars.

The band played their last concert in 1999 and finally took a break of almost twenty years.

In 2018, Jungle Juice announced their comeback; without a guitarist, but with the familiar faces of Nathalie Peters (vocals), Arjen Vink (bass), Nico Broers (synthesiser) and Patrick Kessels (drums).

Today their music contains trip hop feels, hints of drum and bass, and electro-pop elements. Crafty bass melodies, simple and tasty hybrid drum featuring, multidimensional waveforms further processed with filters and envelope shapers, powerful analogue sounds, often arpeggiated, as well as subtle catchy melodies sung with sometimes  a crystal clear and sometimes a powerful voice, are ingredients of the music of Jungle Juice today. Innovative vocal effects expand the sound spectrum.

Lyrics written by Nathalie in English, French or German language, are natural, and often contain a spiritual message.

The quartet already played their first successful comeback concert in April 2018 as part of the "Shadow's Night" .

Their new CD "Insomania" recorded in the "Twin Bro studio" has been released on April the 5th 2019 and has been presented at the club "The Flying Dutchman" in Beaufort on the same day.

So if you feel like an exotic-mysterious sound experience, keep your eyes and ears open from now on!
